District 13 Steelworkers Stand in Solidarity with Locked-Out Workers at Fenner Dunlop

USW Local 7949 members at mining-supplier Fenner Dunlop in Bracebridge, Ontario, were locked out of their jobs in February 2021 after turning down a final contract offer which included drastic changes to sick day provisions, shift premiums and income security.

Workers across Canada and the United States have been coming together to show their support, including a group of Steelworkers from Texarkana and Little Rock, Ark.

Members from USW Locals 9308, 752L and 752L-03 held an action at a distributor of Fenner Dunlop products earlier this month and delivered a letter urging the distributor to contact the company and express concerns over the quality and availability of their products while the lock out continues.
