Teaching Tuesdays
The USW's Education and Membership Development Department is hosting a series of virtual education workshops called “Teaching Tuesdays.” These events will happen on the first, second, and third Tuesday of every month.
The Department of Education & Membership Development provides educational programming that supports the USW's mission to unite all workers and improve their working and living conditions.
We offer online and in-person courses on various topics related to union leadership, local union administration, grievance handling, collective bargaining, and more.
We aim to support and educate our members and staff to become more effective leaders and build a stronger labor movement.

The Leadership Scholarship Program is coordinated by the staff of the Department of Education and Membership Development, and works with other USW departments, staff representatives, and rank and file activists.
The Education and Membership Development department works with districts and locals to create and administer training programs for our staff representatives and local union leaders.
