District 1 Leadership Institute: Sub-areas 3 and 5

As part of the District 1 Education Program, there are again three weeks scheduled for local union leadership and skill enhancement training at the USW Education Center at Linden Hall in Dawson, Pennsylvania.

District 1 is again excited to present several new subject matters and we continue our commitment of new and enhanced materials and information for our members. We welcome your continued attendance, input, participation and evaluations which are imperative for us to further develop and improve our Education Program so that we can best serve the membership.

COST & REGISTRATION

The cost to the local union for each delegate is $550.00 which will cover each delegate’s room (based on double occupancy), meals and training materials. The remaining cost of the rooms and training is subsidized by District 1. All lost time and expenses, including travel, must be borne by the local union.

We must use double occupancy to help defray the cost and enable as many members’ participation as possible. If you want to room with a certain person, please mark that on the registration form.

All registrations will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. The deadline to reserve your spot for the Sub-areas 3 and 5 Leadership Institute is May 9, 2019.

Local Unions requesting to attend a session other than their Sub-area will be given consideration after the deadline if there are openings available.

Check-in is on Sunday after 3 p.m. and check-out is on Friday after the morning session wrap-up. 

In order to ensure proper communication with the participants, please be sure to complete the registration form legibly and in its entirety. Only those receiving confirmation may attend. 

For those that are not aware of the policy at Linden Hall, all unused rooms must be released 30 days prior to our function or we will charged for the unoccupied rooms. We urge you to send in your completed registration form and fees as soon as possible.
