Florida Local’s Civil and Human Rights Committee Learns New Skills

 

USW Local 9 -00033, Palatka, Florida Civil and Human Rights Committee members learned new skills from District 9 Sub-Director and Civil & Human Rights Coordinator Tommy Wright.   

The newly established committee members received training on how to work with the Local's Executive Board, other committees and activists in ways to eliminate and prevent discrimination in their workplace and the community. They were presented new ways to increase participation among their membership plus how to educate members on current civil and human rights and workers' rights issues. These methods included ways strengthen the Local, our great Union, and the Labor Movement through diversity and eliminate and prevent discrimination.
